What’s Offered

Kaplan MCAT offers courses, 1:1 tutoring, as well as online practice, so students can choose what they want to pursue given their specific needs, budget, and schedule flexibility.

Courses

Courses are offered in two different formats, live and on demand, giving students options based on their schedules. Regardless of which course format you choose, all courses include the following resources:

• Access to expert MCAT instructors
• 700 hours of instruction and practice
• A question bank that adapts to your skill level and needs
• 16 full-length practice tests
• 8 MCAT books
• All official AAMC practice that is available

All courses are personalized to fit your needs, busy schedule, and learning style. The adaptive question bank that comes along with the courses is a helpful resource for building up your skills and challenging you with harder questions as you continue to show progress.

The live courses also give you access to the MCAT Channel, which is a platform that allows you to sort through and access lessons, skills and topics. Through the MCAT Channel, you have the opportunity to interact with other students and teachers through lessons, either in real-time or on demand later on.

There are 4 different course formats that students can choose from, all of which also come with a “plus” version and give you access to the MCAT Channel.

Self-Paced– Gives you 5 months of access to an on-demand online course

Live Online Lecture– Learn from MCAT experts in a larger, lecture-style classroom via the e-learning platform. Gives you access to a chat feature to speak with a teacher in real time.

Live Online Small Class– Similar to the Online Lecture but in a smaller setting with a heavier focus on individual participation.

In Person- Gives you the opportunity to meet face-to-face with your teacher.

1:1 Tutoring

Many students who want a more individualized test prep experience choose the 1:1 tutoring option because of the customization and specificity that it offers. Kaplan’s approach for private tutoring is to start by learning about the student’s academic background, goals for the exam and style of learning. After this step, Kaplan will pair the student with a tutor that matches his or her background and needs. Finally, once the student has met with the tutor, they will work together to develop a study plan that fits the student’s schedule and ensures success.

Private 1:1 tutoring is offered in increments of 10, 20, 30 and 40 hours, and the cost of this option includes access to the same 16 full length practice tests in addition to the other resources offered through the courses. It can be done either virtually or in person, but keep in mind that prices will vary.

Online Practice

Students who choose the online practice route will pay a monthly fee to gain access to Kaplan’s MCAT Adaptive QBank. For studiers who may be looking for a more cost-saving option or are just looking for extra practice, this option may be ideal. The QBank features nearly 3,000 questions in which students can review and even make custom quizzes with. With this option, students also have the choice to purchase extra practice tests and book bundles to supplement the QBank.

The cost of each course varies based on the specifics of what it offers. The current prices are listed below:

• On Demand course – $2099 for 5 months of access
• Live Online – Lecture – starts at $2699 for 36 hours of core sessions
• In Person – $3199 for 36 hours of core sessions

1:1 Tutoring

Online Practice

Kaplan’s online practice resources for the MCAT are currently priced at $129 for a practice test 3-pack and $299 for a practice test ten pack.

MCAT Higher Score Guarantee

Some, but not all of Kaplan’s MCAT test prep options come with a “higher score guaranteed or your money back”, which gives you the option to either continue with your prep for free or get your money back if you score lower on your official test than you did on your practice.
